Dave Ramsey has relatively recently amended his stance on prenups

If you called and asked him today he would say there are some rare instances where he sees the wisdom for them; it has to do with the massive amounts of money.

Prenups make no sense to me. Believers should not even consider getting a prenup. As the great philosopher Dave Ramsey says, "If you get a prenup, the marriage is doomed to fail."

If either party wants a prenup, there are deeper issues and therefore should not be united in marriage. If you doubt the marriage, the relationships, or motives the unit is not there. It is a "one flesh" relationship. The husband and wife are 1 body, not two legal parties.

in 99% of marriages, no .... however there are instances where it would have a place and could even be though of as a being a good steward thing.

like the post said, when there are kids of other marriages involved, one might good

another instance is when major amounts of money are involved ... because we don't have complete info and one party could not be entering into this covenant honestly, major amounts of money just changes dynamics of relationships.

in almost all cases, they are not needed, useful, or good, however a blanket statement of "no" would not be appropriate
