Warning Signs of Sin

One of the topics we discussed today was the purity of marriage. This topic lead to a brief discussion on internet pornography. Dr. Scott shared that he keeps on guard and watches 3 signs that almost always lead to sin. These signs are:
Isolation – Desire – Means (Provisions)
If you are alone or isolated with a sinful desire along with a means or provision to sin you will almost always do it. These principles can apply to any sin. Take gluttony: you may be alone, with a desire to overeat, and a full pantry. Nobody will know if you eat all the oreos. The key is to avoid isolation by finding people to keep you accountable.
Right now, I am typing this in a hotel room with internet access all by myself. Right now I am somewhat isolated with a means to look at things that I should not, but I don’t have any desire to do so. In order to end my isolation, please ask me if I looked at anything that I should not have the next time you see me.
